so i'm stuck on Nantucket (one of the islands off of massachusetts) for thanksgiving... i have 2 options for working out. one is at the local fire department or there is a "health club" which charges $25 per day!!! or $85 for the week!!!!! the equipment in the FD is circa Arnold days! so i think i'll use some of the tax payers money and use the good gym!!! ;D Thank you to all of you who pay your taxes!!! Hahahaha! Well that was funny, but in the end you got in free so thats even cooler. Dude, 115's... you're strong as an OX!

I can definitely feel you on havinga gym that doesn't have "HUGE" DB's. I either workout at the high school or at the health and fitness club in town. The club has a great feel. They keep it nice and have a decent selection of equipment. It's more of an "old school" gym and not a "fitness" center. Good comraderie, etc...
However, the HS used to have only up to 70# DB's and the club in town had up to 100. Last year, though, both invested in more DB's and now the HS has 100's and the club has up to 130's. It's very nice, even though while dieting, I seldom go above 110's.

I just got caught up with your journal and I must say, it made me tired! First, using the gym in Nantucket - it cracked me up. And, I must say, very impressive on the big-boy weights!
Then, reading about your work responsibilities is amazing. Keep your head up, though. For what it's worth, you seem to be doing a great job handling your training and diet all things considered.
BTW, if you can say, who's your detail this week for a night shift?
