Well, it's me... and I'm back! Many of you here know me personally, or at least by my years of forum frequenting and penmanship But I'd like to keep this one short and sweet. I am at a point where I am very excited about coming back into the "scene" here on PRRS, and getting back in touch with a lot of you; but I am also at a point that is very hard to deal with many unforeseen challenges in my daily life. This past summer, I had a partial rupture and lateral split of the left biceps distal tendon, which I have not recovered from to this day; after seeing multiple ortho surgeons and having MRI's etc, I finally meet with a third doctor on April 1st to receive his opinion as a highly regarded specialist. Being an animal in/out of the gym for almost a decade of my life since before I was old enough to drive, and being relegated to talking about "The Good Old Days" of my competitive outings when I haven't even hit my mid-20's yet, has gotten me very concerned and stressed out to say the least. I wanted to introduce myself to the board, and say thank you to Greg W, who spoke with me and my wife at the Arnold, and gave me the motivation to get back on the net, and to keep my feet wet even if I am unable to deadlift 500 pounds at this point in time. It has been and continues to be a downward spiral for me personally, but in the scheme of things, I am still able to walk and I'm healthy and will soon return to the gym full force in 09 or 2010. I just wanted to say hello, and to thank Greg sincerely for his time at the Arnold, he is always a class act. I really hope everyone has been great... I'll be seeing you around. -your friend A

Hey, Aaron. Welcome back. Don't worry about setbacks in the gym. It happens and you will work through them. Takes time but you are still young!

THANKS SO MUCH!!! I never really left my love behind for the sport, I just left the forums due to a lot of negativity, plus the marriage and moving to Arizona etc in the meantime, haha! But its great to be back, although to a much lesser extent. I have so many questions and a lot of excitement to hopefully get fixed up enough to get back in the gym as my usual self. It's kind of sad... I look back and think about the "Wonder Years" or the "Good ole' Days" and realize, I just turned 24, lol I missed all ya'll brothas!!!!!!

PS: Wow, I am so relieved that a lot of the very good people I came to love and admire are still around... it's awesome. I can't wait to flip that switch back on in my brain and begin cramming more information up there Just wanted to personally say hi to everyone in this thread that welcomed me back... you guys are what makes a forum worth coming to. Remember the VPX forum days? What was I, 16, 17? Geez, now I have a marriage, a home, and I feel like I'm 50 years old when I go to the gym, dumb tendon!!!!
