Hey guys. I'm yet another convert to PRRS Training, and I'm almost through my third week of full on PRRS Training. Before these weeks, however, I've been implementing the ideas of PRRS into my training regiment for a few months, now. But, seeing as I felt there was something missing, I decided to go ahead and delve fully into it to see what all the hype was about. And I have to say, I'm impressed.
Anyways, on to myself. I'm a young guy, I'll be 19 in a week. I've been in sports and such all my life, from martial arts, to football and wrestling in high school. But I've always been bigger, heavier set guy. 6 feet 220 pound kind of big. With legs and wrists. So needless to say when I got into weightlifting I kind of dived in head first without lifting with the hope to transform myself into some Ray Lewis/Dan Gable freak hybrid.
That didn't happen, but what did happen was I got introduced into hard work and weight lifting. I got introduced, thanks to my head football coach junior year, to the idea of nutrition. So, before I got out of highschool I decided I'd like to drop down to about 189. Try to get the six pack. Try to get cut and such like the guys in the muscle mags I read. But I'm luckier than others by the fact that I got it stuck in my head maybe I should do some reading on all of this stuff before I go into it too hard.
And that's exactly what I did, in a matter of a few short months I picked up anything I could read about bodybuilding, nutrition, and workouts. Bodybuilding.Com became my best friend. And long story short, implementing a lot of the things I learn, I got lean. Real lean. But it wasn't what I wanted. I was skinny lean. Not thick, muscled lean.
And then college came, and to make ANOTHER long story short I ballooned, as I write this I'm probably sitting around 210. Which taking into mind that I was about 178 before I left, is more then that freshmen fifteen, eh?
But I'm back. And this time, when looking back at my goals, and my system, and my whole approach to working out...I felt something needed to change. I needed to change. And I happened to remember reading an article about PRRS training on Bodybuilding.com. And I remembered implementing some of it into the little weight training I was able to do in college, and I remembered having some success. I remembered that I wanted to try it full on.
It's hard to explain. But in these three short weeks I feel I've done "more" then I have in all my years of weight lifting for athletics. I feel like this actually made an impact. And PRRS has me excited, not just because of the program but...Because of the community I found! Here on these boards are guys and gals way more experienced than me, including the main man himself. There are also people all the way in between including those around where I'm sitting. Thus, I think this is perhaps a good base to start this new journey on not just fitness, but a life of fitness. Not just because of the PRRS training but some of the AAEFX products I've looked and have read about sound awesome. And I'm really interested into taking a step into this arena, and proving something to myself, and others.
With more research of course. ;D
I'm here to ask questions, lots of them. Many of you that have kids or look back on those days when you were a rugrat remember asking LOTS of questions. That's how it's going to be from me. But, this time, I'm not looking for anything like a "Get Big Quick" scheme or the such. I'm looking for a solid base and understanding of this world of fitness, bodybuilding, and nutrition. And I have a strong hope, and feeling, that this is a place I can invest in for that base.
Thus, thank you for the time. The time for reading this, the time for responding, and the time you'll probably spend answering my questions. Thank you, in advanced, for the advice, the opinions, and everything else you provide me. I'm really excited about the future with this program and EFX products.
I'm UG, and it's a pleasure to be here ladies and gents.
Now then. On a side note, to talk about my goals for the future... Right now I'm going to school with the hopes of going into law enforcement. I'm most defintly trying to go into Federal Law enforcement, or S.W.A.T. I feel this important to share because for me, going into school I realized I could probably "succeed" in any career I went into. But the one I would be happiest in would be the one I could make a positive difference, one that I could help protect, and serve. One that I could give back to communities that need yet another hand in helping them out.
So yeah. That's about it people. Thanks for having me, and totally excited to read your comments, answer questions, ask questions, etc.
