HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING how would having a beer with your post workout meal stack up with other post workout insulin inducing carb sources? I'm thinking it would actually stack up pretty good. I don't think the amount of Alcohol in a (1 not 3-4) beer would be enough to negatively affect test levels and the insulin spike would be pretty good with it too. I hope I'm waaaay off as I don't want to negatively influence anyone into drinking

I have actually read a short review of a research article where they gave subjects 1-2 alcoholic drinks and the conculision was good...probably something to do with blood thinning/nutrient delivery and the fact that hops/barley and wine like drinks serve as anti-oxidants.
