I know most of you think I'm a raving bitch (ignorance on your part) but we can ALL relate to the loss of a family member, which is what a "pet" truly is. Unlike humans, they are without sin. They possess purity of heart that most of humanity lacks, as I witness day by day the horrors humanity commits. It's funny, we've been crying on and off all day but our neighbor George who loves animals is crying harder than we have so far. There are good people out there too who understand the value of a non human relationship. I've been to many euthanasia's and held a paw and prayed and you can see the light leaving their eyes, like a candle going out, and suddenly they feel "lighter", as if their soul weighed something and after departing it's shell flies away to be greeted by those who went before them. And so we say, adieu, mon ami. J'taime. And wait for us by Rainbow Bridge, we'll see you there. Attachments:

Thanks guys. I'm glad you replied. I understand most people don't like me on here. It's their loss. It's just so weird not having him wake us up this morning. For 17 years he did and it just feels so empty. But shhhhhh, in about a year I'm gonna get a rescued baby girl bull dog, my mom adores bull dogs she gets such a kick out of them. She says no no, no more dogs we have our Jack Russell who's a spaz, but I think she needs a little buddy, a baby, especially since my sister and I aren't going to reproduce. So I think we're going to surprise her. I'll do the training.

awww so sorry to hear girl.. Animals are amazing they have their own lil personality.... Thanks Keets, yeah they really do. Each one is different. I'm getting to know a little calf, the farmer is trying to come up with a name for her, and you think well cows must be dumb. No way! She is TOTALLY a diva with everyone wrapped around her hoof. She recognizes us when she sees us and cavorts around her pen. She's no dummy, she knows we bring oats for her!

I got a Silky Terrier, ( Champ) when I was 9 years old...he became my absolute best friend as I grew up...we grew up together....he even came to college ( had to pull a few strings!) with me and all the guys on the football team knew him! The day he passed was one of the most difficult days of my life. I was holding him and just had told him he was a good boy for taking his medicine, he was pretty sick by then...his heart just gave out, and he died right there in my arms. For years my kids had wanted a dog but it was hard for me to think of going through that again...more so to see them go throught that. Three years ago I finally said ok........today we have a 3 year old Silky Terrier ....his name is Champ...... I don't know about life beyond this one, but when I look in his eyes,I swear my little buddy has come back to me again!

Keith Oh there's NO doubt that they all have souls, and it's VERY possible your old dog came back to you. The Universe is full of mystery, because God is full of mystery. All I know is that there's tons of animals in Heaven, they're all over there in the Bible, some kinda freaky looking (Revelations lol) but the lion shall lie down with the lamb. Because of my mental illness, my antennae is kinda more tuned to that sort of stuff, and there's been a few times where I've been looking in an animal's eyes and there's this CLICK and I know it might sound crazy or like I'm a loon, but we communicated brain to brain. I remember I clicked once with a snow leopard at the zoo once. She didn't have a very big cage. She was mainly bored. But I stood at the gate and watched her, and she turned to look at me and we didn't break eye contact for a couple minutes. And I really FELT how unhappy she was, how lonely, how this wasn't her environment, the family she'd left behind. And I got so angry with that zoo, with all zoos. Protected wildlife sanctuaries is where it's at. Get land to keep them all safe so they can reproduce naturally. But evil men wanting money are tearing down these animal's homes. Anyhoo, your little silky love you and your family very much. There is not a single sinful bone in their body, even if they're being naughty! lol

I am sorry for your loss. I have had to live through 2 pets dying in my life so far. One at 19yrs old when my cat had to be put down at the age of 13 and my rotty who died in her sleep at 7 1/2. Very painful times for me. I've learned to just love the time that they are here and cherish the memories when they are not.
