Hey wondering where ppl stand on locking compound movements out in power week? Should we fully extend our limbs when powering through a heavy movement, or opt to keep continuous tension?

I'm trying to think how I do it....I don't think I change either way depending on which week. I probably lock out, just to get a full contraction. But for you, just train like you normally do...jsut follow to the PRRS guidelines.

I never lockout on compound movements. I feel it gives me a little bit of a break if I do, and I don't want that. Just my personal choice.

Thanks for your replies. I don't usually lockout either. But when accelerating the load as fast as possible it can be hard to stop short.

I generally lock out on Power week mostly because I usually add about a second at the peak contraction.

i dont think it should matter what week you're on. it's just a matter of what you normally do and what works best for you.
