We just had our computer serviced again, it's just getting very old, we're upgrading soon but for now we're stuck with this pc. Not a mac. The sound device that works for the whole computer, including itunes, was deleted or something, because audio doesn't work and I tried to get it to work again and it wouldn't. I went to "audio" in the control panel/properties section and everything was turned off with no option to turn it back on again. Does that make sense? Anways, we'd rather not take the computer back to the servicer for something like this. Any ideas? I think there's a couple of you guys who are "nerds" lol. I'm a nerd so trust me, it's all good.

You may need to download a new driver for your soundcard. What kind of computer, and how old?

Can I get that download online? We have a custom built computer. Intel is the main board, we use Windows, but it's a hodge podge of different things from the creator of it. It's about 5-6 years old. Thanks for replying.

Yep...go to the start menu, right click on My Computer..then click properties. The Device menu should be under there. Look for audio devices...this will let you know what card you have. Then google that device + driver and it should, hopefully, take you to a download site.

ok great, I'll do that in the morning when my circuits are firing lol. Hope it works! I'm trying to watch the dance scene from Dirty Dancing and incorporate into a posing routine.

Hey Rick, does ATAPI-CD ROM-56 MAX sound like anything familiar? That's all I could find...
