Hi everyone, wow i havent been on a forums for ages... So now i'm kinda desperate /confused I just made selection to paddle in the Australian Dragon Boat team in China at the end of April and prob need to change the way i train. I have no idea how to train for explosive power... All i've known is body building. What splits should i be looking at, body parts, days. What sort of exercises??? I dont think flys and bicep curls are gonna do me much good... lol Any help would be appreciated... i feel so outta my depth... Thanks guys Pete

Pete, Off the top of my head. Rows, high rows and low rows. Low back, hyper extensions/rack deads Hips strength will be important, box squats. Ab strength, weighted crunches, hanging knee's to the chest. And mainly, find a rowing machine and start rowing.
