Do any of you do it? A day where you don't take any supps (it takes me half an hour to take all my supps in the morning it is so tedious), from training, from cardio, from diet, not necessarily cheat but that too, and just totally veg? Where you're completely free of any and everything having to do with training for a day? I'm doing that today. None of my like 100 supps, extra cream in my coffee, no lifting, no cardio, not gonna worry about protein every 2-3 hours, just chill.

Man it would drive me CRAZY to do that. Wife would have to put me in a straight jacket just to get me to do that.

My uncle as a competitor in bodybuilding used to take Sundays off from everything and would actually fast to give his body a total break from digesting, training, supps, etc.
It worked for him but that is all about trial and error, it may not work for all but I think he felt better mentally when he did not have to think about every thing he had to ingest, train, or process that day. Just veg'd and relaxed the whole day without a care in the world

I can maybe do that for about 2 days after a competition...but at no other time would my brain be ok with that, LOL.

It's the mental part that kills us if we take a break or even think about taking time off. We act as if we are losing 25lbs of muscle in the 48 hour period we rest, lol

Heck no!!! Everyday of my life all meals, supps, training and rest are calculated on a day to day basis. There may be days where I take less supplements, but never a nothing day!!

Haha...I guess I'm the exception here...I will typically do this on Sunday's. It's great and relaxing not having to worry about what to eat, when to eat, what to take...etc. I mean, I've got my routine the rest of the time...but it just seems refreshing to do this. Gets me ready for the new week, I suppose.

Even when I was severely injured in 2005 and on my back in bed for 6 months I still ate every 2.5 hours and took some supplements!

No cell phone reception, we have no land line, nothing! And its Heaven. It does my mind/body good just to relax watching the bald eagles fly over the lake. A small hike in the morning to stretch the legs/ an all day swim in the lake.....Ah man, I'm homesick for the cabin,LOL. Awesome post btw, great question!!!
