Do you guys find it more effective to get that mind-muscle connection when imagining to pull your elbows back or to "push" elbows back.
I have began to think of PUSH and I am still not sure if I have established that muscle connection.
On some exercises yes. Hardest one to establish a connection is bnet over barbell row overhand or underhand...for some reason.

I think of pulling my elbows back and squeezing my shoulders blades together. I focus on pushing my chest out and slightly arching my low back at the contraction point.

I do what Eric says on most, but every now and then I have trouble getting that connection w/ cable pull downs and I think of pushing an object down w/ my elbows.
Back is the easiest muscle for me to develop a mind muscle connection. I really don't ahve to even think about it anymore.

I think of pulling my elbows back and squeezing my shoulders blades together. I focus on pushing my chest out and slightly arching my low back at the contraction point. same here, yet i really focus on aiming my elbows in the direction of the back i'm working per say, midback, aiming elbows flared away from my torso 1-2 inches. lower lats elbows to my side of my torso.again, bar rows/cable rows pretain to this,IMHO of course pulldowns vary as well. mind muscle connection, being younger, maybe go lighter and try to feel the muscles contract[squeeze]. i also feel its important not to use sloppy form in any movements, even with p/rr/sh/h, when we are suppose to ''cheat'' through a movement, i use alot of precaution because i'm getting older... ;D ;D
