Paul, I'm stoked to have you on the boards. It was great to see you at the AC and I wish I could have sat down and had dinner with you. It's always a pleasure to converse with you on the boards and even moreso in person. One day soon we will see each other again and get to HANG for longer than a few hours! Glad to see you here. I agree we will have to get together for more than a few minutes sometime soon. Perhaps during the NGA show in November we can get together again. This year I will be back stage with you instead of watching.

Hey everyone. I just bought the e-book last week, and joined the forum today. I'm 28 years old and live near Charlotte, NC. I've been training for a number of years and I do it mostly for the personal challenge. I try to practice a healthy lifestyle, and my exercise and training is a huge part of that formula. I train naturally and typically keep a very clean diet. As far as my training program, I'm in a bit of a rut, which has happened before, but I'm having more trouble breaking through it this time than in the past. I love going to the gym, training, and exercise in general, and motivation is definitely not a problem. Rather, despite switching up my program a number of times recently to break them, I'm having trouble breaking through some plateaus in both strength and size. I'm really looking forward to trying P/RR/S, and I hope to see some positive results.

Brand new to the site. I'm 5'9", 208 lbs., and am a lifetime drug free natural bodybuilder. I train Max-OT style exclusively because it has brought so much size and strength gains my way that it's not even funny!!! Since I began training Max-OT, I've gone from a struggling 190 lbs. up to 227 lbs. just over 2 years.
I'm here to learn more, answer questions, etc. so I'm glad to be here with everyone. Train hard and long live natural bodybuilding!!!

Remind me please, is Max-OT by Skip LaCour? I am glad to see more lifetime drug free bodybuilders. Seems like this is more and more the movement. I'm sure other members welcome your input as I do.

It was created by Paul Delia of AST Sports Science. Skip Lacour did train Max-OT religiously though, and still does to this day. I really hope that it is the movement. It's a much healthier and safer approach to bodybuilding. I don't want to knock anyone who chooses to chemically assist themselves because that's their choice and if it helps them reach their goals while enjoying the process, then that's great. I however, live for natural bodybuilding and want to continue to push the envelope. I'll be posting my Max-OT Training journal on this forum as well so if you're interested, check it out. I'll have videos, pics, and all of my numbers on there.

I saw Skip Lacour's video on Max-OT training. It seems to me almost like it is power week in P RRS except he is not very slow on the negative. Do you feel like this style puts a lot of pressure on your joints? I am a little older (almost 50) and feel like this might put too much stress and lead to injury by handling heavy weights all the time. Also, do you do the interval cardio on the bike like he suggests? If so, how many sessions per week?

I am a little older (almost 50) and feel like this might put too much stress and lead to injury by handling heavy weights all the time. Also, do you do the interval cardio on the bike like he suggests? If so, how many sessions per week? That's exactly how I found out about Max-OT was from ordering that DVD. That's just his tempo that he has found works for him. This style of training can be pretty taxing on the joints and ligaments if you don't watch it, that's for sure. The key is to go into this training slow. It's not a race. That week off is golden and absolutely vital in reaping the most benefit out of the program. Try not to go into the gym thinking that it's going to hurt you because the mind is usually always correct. If you have a belief already set up in your head, odds are you will experience it in some way. Like I said, start off slow and with fairly moderate weights. It will take a week or two to figure out where you stand, but be in control of your movements. You'll know when it's time to bump up the weight or what kind of tweaks you can pull off on a specific exercise. As for cardio, I use a bike if all of our treadmills are taken up. I prefer doing cardio on a treadmill and at high intensity. I walk on a level 15 incline @ 3 mph, and every few minutes I jog a couple minutes. Right now I'm up to 5 mph on a jog. I can't go too crazy with it because of how it makes my shins feel. Hope any of this helps you. Good luck!!

Hi I'm Jake. I have been lifting for a few years on and off. I even competed in powerlifting back in the 90's. I have been back into it seriously for about two years and came here after doing a lot of research on different style programs. Just here to observe and learn. Great site. Very helpful.

Hello everyone. I am a 24 year old lifter who has tried just about everything. I read Planet Muscle because I feel that as far as the magazines go it has the best stuff for naturals. That is where I stumbled across Eric, and then later found PRRS. I am 6'0 and weight 260. I used to be a powerlifter and have leaned out since then but I have a ways to go. I look forward learning more and more!
