I trained my chest and biceps, forearms, abs the other day and I am pretty sore today, you've got to love RR - week. The workout seem to go very well as I was able to catch my groove with things within the first 20 minutes or so. Let me tell you what I got one heck of a great pump in the biceps yesterday so for me that alone made the whole session worth the efforts.
Today's workout is quads, hams, and calves.... gonna HIT em' HARDCORE today baby!

I trained back today, glad that is done with! It went great actually and I even cracked a smile after I did some rack pulls. I can't complain really it was a solid workout, and the only noticeable impact on my training I can honestly say that more and more every week is just how little of weight that you really need to use but you can still have a very effective workout. Obviously I still try to lift as heavy as possible, however I do this now with a stricter cadence and lifting tempo. I can't emphasize this enough about your lifting tempo is so crucial for your success and probably the most difficult habit to form as you just start to utilize P/RR/S and the brilliant concepts behind it. The fact that Mr. Broser has set up everything in such a way to target each position of flexsion, rep range, progressive overload, and not to mention every single muscular fiber of our being.... its a great feeling to know with such a variety and intensity now even more so then ever in the gym helps me to keep positive about making solid gains from one workout to the next is precisely the reason why I love P/RR/S and I am sure that many of you even feel the same way about it. P/RR/S and all its variety in a sadistic kinda way makes it fun, and because it so dam challenging it is proving to also be my secret weapon! So for me it is something I will always continue to use for as long as it provides me with results. Enough of me rambling over here, lets get down to business shall we. Tomorrow I train delts, triceps, and calves, gonna get straight up GANGSTA IN THE GYM.... BRING IT ON SUCKA!

Happy Labor Day Everyone, enjoy it! I went to the gym today despite the chaotic traffic it was.... everyone was cramming on the roads this morning, plus the local parade was also getting itself ready and setting things up for the city. It is SHOCK week again, so I put my game face on and hit the gym with my best efforts. Btw, it was surprisingly packed in that mo'fo today....LOL I still got all my supersets (SS) in with no problem in that department, and I even manage to lift a considerably decent poundage's which is kinda tough thing to do during a shock week, so for the most part you can say that it wasn't too shabby! It was chest, biceps, and abs. I felt a little bit weaker today with my chest on the incline bench presses for some reason, but all in all it was a great workout. I will be doing legs tomorrow, see you in the gym folks.

So far I have made it through almost now six weeks with P/RR/S training and I have to say that I am loving the whole experience inside the gym with all the various workouts, and then sitting down here at my computer and talking with everyone here over at the P/RR/S chat boards its been a LOT of fun, so thanks for all your encouragement, suggestions, and tasty recipes! I had a crazy splitting headache today; since yesterday actually it could be from literally anything really a tension headache or just being in the sun for too long an overexposure.... perhaps its from me yanking out my hair from my head and probably thinking way too much about the next P/RR/S workout.... LOL However, despite the aches or pains I still made it over to the gym for a solid legs workout. It went considerably well although my head was throbbing you know this didn't stop me from DOING IT HARDCORE SON! I have a day of rest tomorrow, and believe me I am taking it to recuperate for Thursday's back workout. I will be sure to keep everyone updated, best.

Rest up man, sounds like you are killing it! That headache likely caused from dehydration from being out in the sun....?

Rest up man, sounds like you are killing it! That headache likely caused from dehydration from being out in the sun....? You know what I think you are spot on about that because I felt a LOT better once I got my drink on from the Poland Springs, thanks. I am going to get my rest for sure this weekend to be ready and alert ! I finished my sixth week now, phew! I did it, and I do another POWER week next week. The workouts went very well all things considering, although I will admit as I have been increasing the rep ranges all the poundage's have diminished slightly (about 5 lbs or so, nothing to be ashamed about I don't think ) however I have literally switch certain exercise as each week approaches, so that is maybe why from changing things up and doing some unfamiliar movements. I had a chance to look over everything all my stats and the weight percentages% they really aren't that bad at all, such with the power weeks and then transitioning into the rep/range weeks only a 5 or 10 pound decrease in the usual amount of weight being used for certain exercises, however I realize in the back of my head that if I wanted to I could obviously lift more weight to BOOST THE EGO.... but I still do what is required of the P/RR/S protocol. When following a strict cadence of the lifting tempo accompanied along with the variable of rep range changes as well with the various ] added intensity elements to the already challenging training schedule is very intense and sometimes having that drop in the weight is a must or ad least this is what I have noticed. Anyways, have a nice weekend everyone !

Today's officially the 7th week, good stuff! (3rd POWER/WEEK), and man I would be totally caught in a lie if I said that it was a piece of cake, mmm YUMMY.... sorry but I love my chocolate cake, hey its human nature deal with it! I definitely dug oh' so deep to muster up the physical and mental strength today (you could hear a loud ROAR a mile away from the gym) as I lifted heavy metal and coached myself through the insanity and rigors of this weeks POWER workout. I enjoyed the fact that I kept to all the set weight goals and made good increases for every one of the selected exercises, however it wasn't just THAT simple, not at all.... LOL I realize it shouldn't be easy and I welcome the challenge it certainly proved to be so. I am tired now, going to get a bite to eat and taking a nap. Talk with you guys soon, best.

I have been doing very good this week, so far all of my lifts have improved. I guess I must be full of piss and vinegar or something! I feel really good, no-complaints from the peanut gallery.... although I will admit the change in diet is definitely helping since coming from contest mode now to a clean bulking cycle. I don't intend on exceeding too much over a 10% body fat, so will see just how things are looking later on down the road. I do my only cardio session tomorrow, then mostly rest & recovery until I hit the gym again on Thursday when I train both back & abs. Talk with you then, best.

Finished week #7, its time for rest & recovery! I feel very good about the strength gains although I really had to push it hard this week and get my s*** together. The only muscles it seems that were most ignorant with responding to any increases of poundage's are both chest and shoulders, that's it. However despite this minor quarrel with me and myself, I still feel pretty good about how all the workouts went. I made good weight gains in the gym this week with pretty much mostly everything else. The only thing I can actually complain the most about is that when I got up this morning to get ready for the gym (don't ask me how I honestly couldn't tell you, but somehow I ended up with a sore neck) it really sucks. I dunno know exactly what it is from, how I was positioned laying or what but it is stiff as heck, I knew that I should of purchased that Tempur-Pedic mattresses when I had the chance.... lol I made it through week seven now, going to have a bite to eat and then I am off to bed to get myself some much deserved sleep. Check in with you guys next week, have a great weekend!

Week #8 (REP-RANGE). I trained both chest and back today it felt pretty good. There is something I have definitely noticed it is to try and select exercises you plan on using on a weekly basis and I would only suggest to vary a few exercises or else it could be a little bit frustrating, especially if you don't usually workout with that particular exercise as often. I feel as long as you keep to the weekly protocol and lifting cadence you should be just fine. I will throw in a couple of new exercises each week, however what I do is try to be more consistent overall with the main exercises. I don't know if this is as much of a concern for anyone else, but I certainly hope it proves to be helpful for others who may of experienced this overly exaggerated view on changing gears each week. Anyways sipping on my NF-PRO shake as we speak, and going to head out for lunch with a few buddies of mine, best.

I trained both back and abs today it went very well, I was actually surprised about how much better I have been feeling since doing this program within the past 8 weeks. I have noticed more strength and a much better feeling and difference with every facet of training and my own physique, I really have to give Mr. Broser props for creating such an excellent program.... P/RR/S ROCKS!
I hit my delts & triceps, calves tomorrow. Until then, best.
