It's appreciated, thanks. I try to stay motivated and be positive, although we all know that sometimes it isn't always so simple a thing to do.... lol However, things are going good. I just got back from the gym a few minutes ago, from training both chest and biceps, abs. It was a solid workout, no-complaints; I am just finally sitting down now while eating my third meal of the day (7 total, or possible a "midnight MASS" type of protocol), as we speak, to get some more nutrient-dense foods into my system (such as brown rice, chicken breast, and string beans, etc.), but I certainly hope that all is going well for you and with any of your own nutritional or fitness related pursuits, best.

Although, I just got home about 30 minutes ago; not asleep yet.... lol Seriously, feeling good; I completed another solid workout for today. I trained back and abs, overall a pretty good workout, sure I would of like to be lifting more then I did in the gym today, but it isn't how much you lift all-of-the time instead how you lift it (so, needless to say I kept consistent with my focus primarily on the lifting cadence and rep/range protocol). I train both delts & triceps, calves for tomorrows workout. You know sometimes it is not so easy to get up in the morning and go over to the gym, but I still do it anyways no-matter what I still push myself to keep stepping forward to stay consistent with my goals. I will admit it is a guilty pleasure to read all the great articles provided on this forum and plenty of good people to chat it up with, or tracking other peoples progress and reading training logs here, and watching videos is probably my favorite of them all. Which also reminds me about something.... don't worry no lectures from me today, just wanted to speak my mind about something. While I am sure most of you have either seen the infamous "BLOOD & GUTS" (DVD), or you probably own a fairly beat up copy like the one I have which may be somewhat unrecognizable from the faded cover sleeve, but ad least it still plays. It reminds me about one of the scenes from this pretty much as gritty as you can get for a black & white footage, but there are definitely some of the most excellent moments ever captured of this legendary (6x Mr. Olympia) Dorian Yates, while training like its nobody's business. As his training partner roars with a most voracious battling cry, he asks even more from the great Yates; keep it up as he insist, just one more rep.... NOW LETS GET NASTY !This helps to illustrate my point about consistency and perseverance, and using the time in the gym more productively, and with every fiber of your being INSTEAD of dilly-dallying while mingling with all the crowd. The best ways I have found over the years to do this is by always having a training partner with me in the gym; he or she standing right there over my shoulders breathing as heavy as I am, and pushing me as much as humanly possible, while feeding off each others energy. It is a great feeling to know that when you actually do have someone reliable to count on, someone helping you reach your goals, it makes these goals appear to be much closer and possible to achieve. Also a two-way street, you know; You have to push each other to the MAX.... and with a strong mindset nothing will stand in you way to achieving greatness. That's it for now, best.

2nd cycle, week #2 (REP-RANGE): Mission Status - Completed. I am really glad its already the weekend, considering how I am pretty tired, but my workout was great today. The gym was suddenly packed all of the sudden towards the very end of my workout, so needless to say I got finished just in time; you know what they say timing is everything ! The weekend is going to be great for rest & recovery, now its time to grow. I feel like all the workouts this week couldn't of gone better, and I feel overall very well. I will talk to you soon, have a nice weekend everyone.

Update: I have been using the "MESOBOLIN" supplement, so far it seems to be working pretty good; my weight is up and I have been eating clean this bulking/cycle, and I haven't changed anything other then supplement with it. However, I can't really say that it will give you MASSIVE RESULTS.... but it is not a bad supplement and I feel it certainly does have some merit for considering. In my case (a freebie, a friend gave me), it is not that bad. However, I wouldn't recommend it only due to the fact of price-tag being so expensive, this could be very costly if you keep on using it throughout the month; it is highly "Dose-dependent" and based on how much you currently weigh (my current weight 206 lbs, so this means a bottle wouldn't even last me a month, I would probably need 2 or 3). Do you see what I mean? I don't mean to knock it, as matter of fact it definitely feels like it may be working in my system, and I would most likely use it again; that is should I get the chance to persuade my buddy into giving me another bottle. But other then that, it is too-rich for my taste buds, I would much rather spending money on a few tubs of NF-PRO & Kre-Alkaline, and maybe catch a movie !

WEEK #3, 2nd Cycle: Another "SHOCK" week - Monday, I worked out early this morning (about 6:15 AM); trained chest & biceps, abs. It went good for today's workout; no-complaints, it was surprisingly .... quicker then usual, don't ask me why? However, I feel it was a good superset/dropset session, for sure. I train my legs tomorrow, talk with you soon, best.

Shock week always goes by faster because you're condensing multiple exercises into a superset. That's one of the many beauties of Shock Week...get the hell out of the gym faster, but with great results.

That is so true, faster the better .... umm, although I will admit sometimes it is nice to go at it hardcore on the (POWER) weeks; I enjoy a good HEAVY day, however, not always so good, such as heavy leg days YIKES ! LOL Speaking of legs training, today was a good workout for the good old tree trunks, but I am glad its done with, ad least for now. I have been following a version of "tabata" cardio protocol, tomorrow early in the morning (about 5:00 AM), and training back and abs on Thursday. Until then, best.

I don't know about early morning training.. it sounds daunting but at the same time it might be one hell of a way to jump start your day. I usually train around 1pm but as I get busier with work I've tossed around the idea of training early... doubtful though as I live in Las Vegas! lol

HAHA. Yes, there is no-doubt about it, training early in the (AM) is not easy s*** to do, actually I pretty much despise training too early in the morning, if I am being completely honest .... lol I wake up early in the morning, only with the cardio days, but I pretty much do the same as yourself and try to get in a training session sometime around the afternoon, providing, work will permit me to do so. Las Vegas is a SWEET PLACE to go to visit, lucky dog ! You must have some awesome stories to share with others? After all, it is the infamous "city that never sleeps," that's pretty cool. While, considering this now; I guess early training in the morning (when doing some form of cardio like: TABATA, or HIIT, or MIT, etc.) in a city that NEVER THROWS IN ITS HAND! This would be rather tough to try fitting into an already busy work schedule, plus the added component of P/RR/S. I totally hear what you're saying man, you know what, since being introduced to P/RR/S style of training, I enjoy trying to switch up my routine more to keep things from becoming steal, and especially something like cardio stuff making it as much interesting as it is challenging. However, I will admit training early like with the other day for example, it just may of been way too early for me or something? Because, I was like falling asleep on-the-wheel heading over to the gym .... the key word here is "almost" PHEW! LOL

2nd/Cycle: Power Week (WEEK #4) - Today, was a solid workout. I trained legs, it went very well and I even managed to out-best myself today by lifting close to (960 lbs) on the leg press .... seriously, I was pretty excited about it, felt great, although it would most likely be near impossible with more then 6 reps, I wouldn't even try thinking of attempting it on a rep-range week. LOL Cardio tomorrow, I will sleep this time until 7:30 AM, no-sense in waking myself earlier then needed. I will probably use my recumbent bike (it's getting much too cold now, may even start snowing soon from what I hear), or head-over to the gym for a go with maybe one of the elliptical or rower machines, I don't know yet.

This week is finished, everything was great, all the workouts couldn't of gone better. I lifted heavy as possible, and the delts & traps are super pumped up baby!
I have my nutrition in check, doing a clean bulk this year. I plan on doing this until the end of January, and then I will began to maintain for (about 3-4 weeks), and start a prep dieting down. I know that I am probably thinking too far ahead, and many other factors may occur between now and then, so will just see as things progress. Anyways, it's about that time now, for some more rest & recovery, see you next week everyone, best.

Great work!.........Training in the morning is all about mindset. It's up at 4:30 AM, and in the gym at 5:00 for me the last 16 weeks pre contest as I double split with two weight sessions a day. Strange as it sounds I actually enjoy it...no " mind clutter" from the day to deal with. Just a very quiet, serious state of mind with which to attack the weights.

That's so very true, it takes a little something extra to get up at the crack of dawn .... However, there are some days which are much easier then others! Also, I just wanted to take a moment to wish you the best in your weight class & division. I am sure you will do great, and please keep me in-the-loop about everything, it will be great to hear about how the event went and the final results.
